After the launch of Iphone SE 2020, what's your opinion on it as an Android user and how do you think Android phones at that price ($400-500) segment will respond ? Asking this for all countries, I know the prices are quite high in many countries but still would love your opinion on it.

Pixel 4a is launching soon it may have a good camera but no way will it have the same processing power as the se 2020.
The k30 pro base variant (6/64) is 400-ish over at china it has the processing power but not the best camera....

When are we ever going to get another <5" Android device? There's an entire labor market that is frustrated.

I've used Android exclusively since Jellybean, but I'm getting sick of the phones getting larger and larger. Many of us use phones for physical work, and need a device we can keep in a pocket that is rugged and small enough to not flex or crush when we lean on it. With phones above 5.5" this is damn near impossible, unless you put a honking Otterbox/etc on it... which defeats the purpose of a phone that is easily accessible from a pocket. I work in electrical contracting, and the number of times...

Great Andoid Feature: Dial by Name

Prepare to be amazed; a lot of people don't know about this feature:

From the Android phone dial, use the number/letter pad to dial contacts by first or last name (Dan is 326.) The UI brings up contacts in "filtered reverse sticky order" so your most recent used contacts bubble up the list, and then you just select to dial. Touch on the contact list to minimize the dialer and swipe up/down to scroll the list, and touch/select to dial.

So. Very. Convenient.

I have hundreds of contacts, yet ...

"High refresh rate" lifehack

So I thought this was common knowledge to most users but apparently not so here we go.

If you put your phone into developer mode you can change the animation speed.

For me on oneplus 6 it's:
Settings>developer options>drawing>animation scale

It should be three different options. Just make all of them .5 and every animation goes at .5 the original speed, making your phone look and feel a lot faster.

This makes your phone feel a lot faster than it actually is

I hope you guys find this useful...

OnePlus 8 prices in India and comparisons with iPhone SE2 prices

OnePlus 8 starts at Rs 41,999 ( \~USD 550)
OnePlus 8 pro starts at Rs 54,999 (\~USD 720)

Meanwhile, the $399 iPhone SE2 is starting at $560 in India. Just shows that companies can definitely price products according to purchasing power in the region, which Apple just won't in India, and give the stupid excuse of local taxes....

Discussion: How much do you care about the weight and thickness of your phone? Is it a factor at all in your purchasing decision?

So I recently just went from a OnePlus 7 pro to a Galaxy a70. Yeah I know :(, I dropped the OP7. But the difference in usability is drastic. The a70 is plastic, so 20g lighter. it's also about a mm thinner. Same screen size.

Up until now I didn't realise how much that mattered on bigger phones. I can use this one handed for most things. The OP7 was just way too heavy.

I brought this up because I regularly see screen size discussed but no other dimensions or weight taken into account. I coul...
