Today I received my One Plus 8 (non-pro) and was absolutely shocked to find that SIM slot 2 is disabled, pending a future software update.

This is an unlocked model, purchased directly from OnePlus, and nowhere on the product page does it mention that dual SIM is not a feature that will work on launch.

General phone rant and wishful thinking

First post here, and a bit of a long rant... Sorry.

I'm in Australia, so firstly we don't get a lot of phones sold direct here. (No OnePlus, Sony etc). With those we do, lots of pet gripes. I'd probably get the Huawei P40 pro anyway if not for the deal-breaker (for me) lack of GMS (and locked bootloader, which means I can't use Lineage etc).
