Are we (and all the tech reviewers) counting Android support times wrong?

After constantly hearing about how iPhone SE gets 5 years of support, while Pixel phones get only 3 years and others get 2 years, it got me thinking: is everyone counting the support years wrong? Because if not, how come the Galaxy S7 sitting in my drawer just received a March 2020 security update? And how come iPhone 5s received a bug fix update like 5 weeks ago?

appending to video files is what has been missing from camera apps for a long time now

I recently watched some old tapes from 1998 that were recorded on a Hi8 video cassette. What struck me, is that they are geniuinely interesting to watch, as back in the day, you basically cut your video while you record it. You can sit down and watch those videos in a single sitting without lifting a finger, literally, they are cut together already. Android vs iOS - Software updates

Hi,

Flashed latest LOS 17.1, GApps micro with LOS recovery on my Oneplus6,

All good, No issues. However i do see many apps are unavailable for installation on playstore, apps like Netflix, CAMS says "This app is not compatible for your device".

Its not an issue any more for me as i have reverted back to stock OxygenOS. However i am very much keen to have LOS on my phone because someday or another Oneplus will stop software support for Oneplus6. Custom ROM is only way to keep OS updated. But ...
