Google's messaging strategy makes sense now

There's way too many memes on here about Google's confusing messaging strategy, and that was the case when Hangouts was still being developed and Allo existed and all that stuff, but people can't seem to understand why they have both Duo and Meet. They compete in different markets and are fundamentally different products. Does anybody remember Apple's old "four quadrant" Mac strategy?

Pixel 4a announcement delayed to June 3?

We all heard about the Pixel 4a leaked shipping date May 22, 2020 and that it should be announced on May 12, 2020 but hear me out.

The Google I/O is where Google announced the previous Pixel 3a/XL which is canceled this year (reason should be obvious).

Instead the Google I/O event will be replaced with the virtual [Android 11 Beta Launch Event](https://developer.android.com/android11) which will be on June 3.

To this day Swype is still my favourite keyboard.

...And it's not even available in the Playstore anymore.

Over the weekend I upgraded to Android 10 on my S6 Edge Plus (which on its own is a miracle, courtesy of all the great people involved in the Lineage OS project) and decided to finally *go with the times*, let go of an old trusty comrade and try out one of the many available alternatives. Today I switched back to Swype.

Back when Swype was introduced for Windows Mobile I was simply fascinated by the ingenuity of the idea. Conceptionally...

Do people really love huge and bloated tablets masquerading as phones?

I mean, are "phones" at 6.6" or even 6.7" screen size even classifiable as phones? When did having tablets with calling and LTE become all the rage? I'm seeing phones which weigh over 200g regularly, some even get close to 220g.

Is it too extreme to simply draw a line and say, if you weigh more than 180g and you're above 6.2" or so, you're no longer a phone. Why stop at 6.5-6.7"? Why not go to 7.5" while we're at it? 8"?...
