Huawei AppGallery had links to sites like APKPure, company doesn't know why

Somebody put links to sites likes APKPure and APKFollow for downloading apps like Revolut and H&M. ([See screenshots](https://imgur.com/a/y2VTiQy)) I asked Huawei about this, and the Belgian Head of PR said he made notice of it internally, but hasn't an answer... Huawei AppGallery does the same for apps like Facebook and WhatsApp, but at least those links are to the official websites. (I first reported this for my blog Tandem Tech, you can read the article in Dutch [here](https://tandemtech.be/h...

How do you see Android ecosystem changing in a post pandemic world?

As globalization reduces in a post pandemic world and many countries start discouraging import of Chinese products, how do you see Android ecosystem evolving?

I am not talking of iOS because even though Apple's revenues might get hit but it shouldn't affect iOS ecosystem at all. At best, they can move manufacturing to US or anywhere else but I don't see a broader impact.

For Android, it's different. Other than Samsung (and to some degree, Nokia, Pixels etc), most major Android phone companies ...

Sad news for Android TV emulator fans: It appears Google has no plans to add controller rumble support anytime soon.

**From https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/128314303:**

>Android has been lacking support for Rumble in controllers. Wired, BT, and other wireless controllers have no way to use Rumble at all. Game dev's have created a pseudo-workaround when playing directly on a phone by using the haptic/vibration to generate a "rumble".

>With more people using Android devices for gaming, this feature is necessary, especially for entertainment centers based around Android TV. People are using Android TV de...

Some manufacturers are throttling the cpu, some gpu, Huawei is "throttling" my audio.....?!

Video 1 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EKFP4iNJVs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EKFP4iNJVs)

Video 2 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awi7a4PJfe4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awi7a4PJfe4)

Something interesting I noticed while setting up my new tablet. Huawei seems to change the audio (filter/effect) depending on what application is running (or maybe a type of application).

In video 1 you can see/hear that the audio changes when I enter "video" apps (youtube, video). Other apps do no...

[Discussion][Exploit] The MyJio app from the playstore can display fullscreen ads over other apps with no permissions

MyJio ([playstore](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jio.myjio)) is an app used manage jio connection on your phone. They seem to be able to display fullscreen ads even with "draw over other apps" permission disabled.

[idea/discussion] Ultimate Single Camera for a Midrange phone.

Midrange phones come with fairly large sensors for their main camera (Realme 5 pro for example) but other lenses barely exceed the image quality of a 2011 midrange. And ever since iPhone SE was rumored to have a single camera, I've been thinking what the Android equivalent would be.

A 1/2" 20 MP sensor with 1.24um pixels and a focal length of 22.5mm with OIS is what I came up with.

Sensor is the same size as the 48mp ones but matches (or exceeds) SE's pixel pitch.

At 22.5mm it's pretty wide ...

The Pixel 5 should be the de facto Android phone.

The Pixel lineup of phones could beat the Galaxy lineup as the de facto Android phone, or the iPhone of the Android world. I absolutely LOVE my Pixel 2 XL, and I want to replace it, but the Galaxy S20 is too expensive and the OnePlus 8 has display issues. I wish Google would make basically, an Android version of the iPhone 11, good enough display, long battery life, nice camera, and around $650-$800 USD.
Here is what I think should change.

It should either ditch the telephoto camera...
