It doesn't seem to matter the speed, I dragged an icon back and forth slow and quick and it always seemed to work. Pretty nifty. I wonder if it has something to do with the hinge, or if it's all software predicating…

Most answers here, about HDMI support, is wrong.
Typical question is like: does my phone supports HDMI cable connection?
And typical answer is: no. Your phone doesn't have USB 3.1, just USB 2.0, so you have to use Chromecast.
Especially Xiaomi community here is full of wrong answers, as most of Xiaomi phones does have only USB 2.0 interface.
But the truth is: ALMOST ALL Android devices, phones or tablets, is possible to connect through HDMI cable.
To be more specific: if your phone / tablet

Is the size factor important for you when choosing a new device?
I'm just curious if you consider size as a factor when choosing a new device.
I see many times there's a ton of people jumping from one flagship to another and that including jumping from a big phone to way smaller phone and vice versa (for instance S20 Ultra to Pixel 4a) and all they mention when comparing is everything but size.
I'm currently using my ancient Honor 9 and all I'm worried about is if I get used to a bigger phone once I upgrade.

Surface Duo YouTube embargo is straight up shady and shouldn't be encouraged.
Lately all smartphone releases goes through the same pattern. Youtubers get early hands on and are said to lift the embargo at the exact time that the company sets.
This creates lots of buzz and becomes talk of the town when all Youtubers post their video at once.
Microsoft has taken very clever approach here by making sure Youtubers shows the only part they want it to be highlighted.
