I think Samsung nerfs Android really bad...

I have a Samsung Galaxy phone. It just got an update to Android 11.

Android 11 is supposed to have a lot of great features from notification grouping by type to a better, native screen recorder to a power down screen with ability to control your smart home and get access to your payment service.

My Samsung Android has none of that.

Samsung's screen recorder sucks. While recording gameplay, it results in a terrible audio lag. The only reason why I got a Samsung Android phone and not somethi...

Top facts the 3.5mm headphone jack is obsolete: The reason to move on should Ask OEMs to ditch the Headphone jack for flagship phones of any kind.

After having the headphone Jack for so many years, its time to finally ditch the headphone jack 100% for good. The good news is that the Google Pixel 1 and the Pixel 5 smartphones are created into this brave new world without the need of headphone jacks. Smartphone OEMs can also cultivate and give credibility to the no headphone jack phone designs for more room needed for a larger battery, a bigger haptic engine, and added larger displays.

This insures OEM Smartphones to add a bigger room for a...

Reviewers often berate Samsung for having ads on their devices. I feel they should also extend that same criticism to Google and Pixel devices for ads in the Discover feed

I posted this to r/GooglePixel earlier and it just got downvoted. Are folk actually okay with this?

These type of ads just started popping up on my Pixel 3 XL.

I'm not even anywhere near London for goodness sake.

The feed seems like such a fundamental part of the interface of the device. They might as well throw ads in the notification tray as well while they're at it.

I genuinely ...

Why do you think ASOP killed call Recording?

The best answer I can come up with is that they want to eliminate any possibility if being dragged into a lawsuit in cases where someone did not follow applicable wiretapping laws.

...Back when I worked at RadioShack, we had a microphone you could suction cup to the back of a phone to pickup the other party and your device. I sold one to a lady in Texas, with her lawyer present, because her Husband/BF was verbally abusing her over the phone. That was legit use if phone recording in a single-par...

What's your favorite custom ROM?

I didn't use that many ROMs, but I think my favorite is crDroid. It has just the right amount of features imo. Also Resurrection Remix because it has a shit ton of features, more than any ROM I've used....

Samsung is taking Android Updates seriously

We kept hearing about how they are committing to 3 major OS updates but 2 days ago I have experienced it first hand and I must say I am very impressed. I have access to 3 recent Galaxy devices in my household.

* S20 FE
* S21+
* S21 Ultra

On February 11th all 3 devices have received the February patch along with a performance/bug fix software update.

I initially checked my device and just asked my friend and his dad to check their phones without expecting that they would have an update ready b...

Other oppinion about samsung ads

I understand the feeling when ads show up when you paid over 1000++

but my view over the samsung ads is this.

Because apple and google earns money by the app store and play store, they can ship

the phone with negative margin. However, all other manufacturers can't do that.

To compete with Apple and to investigate on software they really need to generate

revenue with the software somehow. And thats what I think samsung is doing.

Otherwise we are left with Apple, Google. and that's it....

We need a good video recording on Android for third-party apps like Instagram, Snapchat...etc

Android cameras have evolved a lot, It's a shame that third-party apps can't take advantage of their full potential.
Video recording on an android flagship is like a 2014 iPhone or maybe worse on social media apps. Google has to obligate Big company's devs to use CameraX API o make an alternative because nobody is using it...
