The Xperia 1 ii is a superb phone (ex iPhone user)

Very impressed. My point of reference is the iPhone 11 pro/XS Max.

I think the Xperia is really overlooked, and I can't see why. The body is incredibly light for the size, it fits in the hand so much better than the iPhone - sidesense is genius for one handed use too.

Headphone jack. Now the sound on this phone is something special, I've A/B it with my Iphone and bluetooth headphones are about 20% louder on the Sony, and better quality.

TIL Android now has the most accurate GPS in urban areas with the help of 3D models and AI.

There is what's called the "wrong-side-of-the-street position error" which has remained a hard unsolved problem in the past 10 years. It's a GPS error that occurs when you are in a city and the GPS thinks you are on the other side of the street.

Apparently, Google solved this issue recently and they were the only ones who could do it thanks to their access to 3D city models and AI expertise. The update is now rolled out to most Android phones running Android 8 and newer via Google Play Service...

Some useful ADB commands and one-liners for changing permissions

While setting up a new Galaxy S21 I made some ADB one liners to perform a few useful functions.


All commands are to be executed in an ADB shell. If you don't know how to get one you probably should not be messing with ADB. If used incorrectly ADB can break essential device processes.
