My personal opinion on A12 after 60 hours

Pros:
\- As a Pixel 4 user that utilises face unlock routinely, pattern unlock is now instantaneous, compared to a second delay on A11.
\- Eye candy animation when you place your Pixel on a wireless charger - a ripple effect.
\- Refreshed UI is pleasant looking imo.
\- 'Extra Dim' is fantastic!
\- Tasker still works fine(I am a light user)
\- GPay works!
\- For a beta, this is working extremely well. I personally did not face any system crashes or issues. Some hanky animation her...

New Pixel 6 info from Max Weinbach

Max Weinbach was in a podcast talking about I/O and the recent Pixel 6 leaks, and he dropped some new info about the Pixel 5a and 6.

In case you didn't know, Max Weinbach is a pretty reliable leaker, with a good track-record, trusted by multiple people in the industry, such as 9to5google. Though it's important to keep in mind that these are still ...

Android 12 beta 2 Cents ;)

Hey I'm new to using Reddit but I just want add my two cents about the Android 12 beta. I'm currently using the Pixel 3 XL to test run the beta but I'm likely what I see so far and these are just my thoughts on what I've seen at this point.

Disclaimer: I do not know anything about UI designing and the process or how long it takes these are just my two cents of suggestions on what I'd like to see in the future of android hopefully someone at Google could see by us spreading our ideas as well. I'...

Why is there no equivalent of Apple One in Google ecosystem?

I've been wondering about it for quite some time.
I love Android. I really do. However, recently, it seems that buying Apple is... Cheaper. Never thought I'd say this. Take a look at their devices - longer support and higher reselling price makes them a worthy choice.

This thread is not about the devices though. It's about the software. After the announcement of lossless music streaming in Apple Music, I became interested in what Apple offers, services-wise.

Side-note here, I know that you ...

FEATURE PROPOSAL: Different Launcher Phone-Screens for Different Life Scenarios (Virtual Desktops, Spaces, Etc.)

Most launcher apps right now have a way to backup their settings. I know users have a tendency to say "pet feature should be easy", so I won't lapse into that. But such backup features could hopefully be easy to leverage into a new feature: the ability to switch between various setting files for different scenarios, like switching between virtual desktops on a computer.

Scenario: I'm working from home, so I make a gesture/tap an icon, and a list of saved setting files slides out. (The ...
