Will android phones ever act like the mini PC's that they were touted to be?

So while there are a ton of manufacturers peddling android devices, pretty much all of them have their own flavour of "skin" that they put on. Some are just very superficial while others do a number on the whole android system, sometimes going as far as messing up working items.

Now the things is, if they were just shipping it with the devices, like how pre-builts come with a version bursting at the seam with bloatware, you could potentially have the option of just wiping the slate clean with ...

Just a thought: Samsung's advertising department is behind all these SAM assistant memes.

Samsung is trying a new strategy and drumming up support and familiarity with its virtual rival to Siri and Alexa In order to avoid the buttfuck the bunker roleout Samsung did on their first failed assistant, Bixby (which was a disaster from day one and nobody liked).

Huawei announces list of devices transitioning from Android to HarmonyOS

The list was announced on their livestream today. It includes the Mate 40 series, P40 series, MatePad Pro, Mate 30 series, P30 series, Mate 20 series, P20 series, the MatePad, Mate 10 series, P10 series, Mate 9 series, Nova 8 series, Nova 7 series, Nova 6 series, Nova S series, the Mediapad M5 and M6 and a couple of other devices like the V and S smart screens.

Now that Fuchsia is launched, do you think it will eventually be merge/replace Android, and also extend to desktops, etc?

I think Fuchsia is an approach similar to what Apple has done with their OSes. Basically iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS all share the same underling operating system. Their core is same afaik.

Fuchsia might be be reason why Google didn't launch Android for PC till now.

What are your thoughts on this?...
