Next-gen Exynos x AMD and the future of Samsung flagships

I just had a small realization thinking about the next Exynos SoC (probably the Exynos 2200)

Will Samsung ditch the Snapdragon 9xx for the S22 (along with future chips on their future flagships)?

On one hand, it would make sense since the Snapdragon 9xx probably won't be able to match the GPU performance on the Exynos 2200. On the other hand, Samsung hasn't really cared about the gap in performance when comparing the Snapdragon vs. Exynos in the past.

If they don't for the S22, will they even...

A root cause of Android phone battery drain and overheating ?

I just want to share my experience on this subject, as I found this problem to be extremely annoying and it seemed to be shared by a lot a users without real solution or root cause identified.

Going as far as loosing 30%+ of battery over the night (so no touching and airplane mode in my case), and having to recharge thrice per day to not ru...

Source (mobile link since desktop link seems to require signing in)

Yes, it's a rumour of an announcement of an announcement. You can tell it's a slow news day...

If this is true, it seems the OS updates are getting faster and faster every year for Samsung

Anyhow, it's a good thread to discuss Android 12 and One UI 4.0 in general

I hope Samsung doesn't end up adopting the new quick tiles. IMO, they're a huge waste of space, and I hate how they go...

Is Google beating Apple at their own game?

For context a a year and a half ago I switched to iOS because everything looked so well integrated and smooth and working together. Eventually I ended up entangling myself in the ecosystem with a MacBook and an Apple Watch.

And now with iOS 15 and Android 12 around the corner, the tables seem to have turned:

* Google's apps always sync immediately through the cloud, iCloud files and Reminders are more automatic, yes, but they sync with a delay and often if you turn off a device soon enough aft...
