Google is planning on removing a few of their Customizable Emojis on Gboard

Can we PLEASE not remove Minis from Gboard? They are wonderfully hand-drawn and super charming. I legitimately love using these emojis with friends. They're cute and makes your messages that much more personal.

And let's face it, THESE look much better than the abominations that are Bitmoji.

Please, Google, hear us. Please do not remove Minis. At the very least, give us some rationale? Are they being phased out because of Emoji Kitchen? The two can coexist....

Hello!

Why is that people like me who only use smartphones for basic stuff (voice calls, email, casual internet, few apps like tv show tracker etc..) need to buy 400€ smartphone just to have anything close to smooth experience from a non-chinese phone? It is ridiculous. All low range smartphones are lagging garbage and I don't think it's the hardware. Every year new chipsets CPUs and other stuffs is developed all of them faster than its predessor but the OS itself always fucking lagging, hangin...

A few years ago, as Android was growing into those shoes that it's grandma bought, the world was exploring dark mode all over again.

User Experience Design was kinda a huge thing and I remember seeing loads of articles stating how white text on a black background was bad.

Bixby gets too much hate, it's nice to have when Google Assistant doesn't have work

I've been using voice assistants more when driving now and so far two times Google Assistant has failed me.

Once when I was looking for Mexican Party Music, Google Assistant played an album where as Bixby gave me a Playlist.

The second time was today when I asked it to start my music. Google Assistant said it couldn't understand what I said even though I was yelling at it to start my music. Bixby started my music.

I think so far when it comes to music at least, Bixby is better....

Customizable Phones

Back in the heady halcyon days of 2013, Motorola made waves with phones that could be custom ordered - changing between a dozen colors and offering a custom imprint on the back cover.

When the Pixel first came out, it offered a similar option for a custom back. Looking now at the Pixel 5, that doesn't appear to be an option anymore.
