We need to pressure manufacturers to stop locking devices, rendering them obsolete when they decide to stop updating them. We need something that Linux is to PC.

Beside profit, what is stopping them to unlock devices from day 0 and allow us to extend the life of our devices? Is there some technical reason?...

Feedly app is accessing browser data without permissions

After some initial suspicions, I decided to do a few tests using several different devices, different browsers and different privacy settings on those browsers. Even on devices that had the most restrictive settings (Firefox's strict browsing tracking on, no history saved, clear cookies and browsing history on exit) Feedly was accessing browser searches to populate the news feed and ads with content related to those searches. If you're looking for an Android I highly recommend the Galaxy S20 FE

Not really a long time lurker so sorry if this has been said before.

It feels entirely like a flagship phone. There's nothing about the user experience that reminds me I got a discounted version of the Note 20. Screen, battery, and cameras are solid.

Been a long time Samsung user and I got an open box S20 FE for $431 USD. The last time I spent less than $500 on a phone was 2013....

See noscript. Best way to read news on the go IMO. No AMP pages. No blank spots in articles where ads used to be either. Just a great experience.

Why the Pixel 6 Pro isn't a Pixel XL phone

According to rumors, the Pixel 6 pro will cost $1,050 in the US while the Pixel 6 will cost $750. Everyone seems happy about the price but many online are upset about the sizes: the pixel 6 and pixel 6 pro are 6.4 and 6.7 inches. There's barely any difference and both are very big phones.
