WhatsApp seems to be adding Reactions to chat messages

Just seen this when I was trying to copy a message. But as of now, the emoji clicked doesn't appear in the message. Maybe they are testing it.

Swift Backup 3.7 adds Android 12 support and uses Shizuku to perform batch backups without root

Pretty significant update to Swift Backup - a comprehensive app and data backup solution on Android (and alternative to Titanium Backup) - just got released. Version 3.7 not only adds Android 12 support but also uses Shizuku to perform many batch actions without needing root.

While you still can't do a full backup of app data without root (understandable), this should help speed up making and managing manual backups of ...

Google Translate's Material You redesign is rolling out to more Pixels

Google Translate has a neat Material You redesign that went live on the Pixel 6 series a few days ago, but with version 6.25 rolling out via Google Play, that redesign has reached other Pixel phones, including the Pixel 4a and Pixel 5.

Here's an album showing the new design....

Android 12 growing pains?

I'm seeing a lot of feature related reviews and some positive response for the latest update. As a Pixel 5 user I have to say I'm not finding the visual overhaul to be very intuitive, and I'm not personally seeing any useful improvements. I don't use widgets really so that's probably part of why the benefits are lost on me. But usually after a day or so I get used to a visual update and move on. This time I find myself continually bothered by the changes.

Am I the only one? Curious to see other...

Pixel 6 Pro vs. Samsung S21 Ultra (Snapdragon) Actual Comparison

Alright, I've been comparing the two side by side for about a day now and there are some GLARING differences that I have not heard mentioned or seen in reviews. I don't know how it's possible since if you compare side by side it's incredibly obvious, but here we go:

To set the stage, I've owned every Pixel since the 2 except for the 5. Have owned OP 7Pro and S21 Ultra the last few years in between and was extremely excited about Google finally making a flagship. Sadly, I think they fell short (...

Swype keyboard's servers finally went down.

If someone is interested, Like me, after so many years of using...

I needed to revert my phone from android 12 to 11 because it was a disgrace to use, visually and functionally, and now after installing my beloved swype apk and trying to download new languages, I can not, and the servers are offline. 2 months ago they were still online.

I dont know how but I hope I will be able to dig today in my old phone and get the language files. If I make it I will upload what I have here for people to us...

App groups in 12

Hey.

Ive noticed apps grouped together now look completely different. They now protrude past the circle and the background is no longer clear. Am I the only one who doesn't enjoy this? I feel it looks unfinished as if the mask layer is missing. What do you think?

>I'm going to go through some of the issues I've encountered so far and try to describe them in more detail for anyone who's still on the fence about this phone.

>I can't speak enough to this yet, but after a couple of days, my instinct is that what you've read (battery on 5G/mobile data isn't great, battery on Wi-Fi is good) is probably correct. Samsung modem PPW is just not going to be as good as Qualcomm's...
