I wish they didn't get rid of translucency in Android 12

I got my Pixel 6 in today and so far it's pretty good! But one of the big things I noticed was that the notification shade, multitasking menu, and app drawer, all kinda look like garbage? At least compared to my previous LG G8X and LG G7 One.

On my G8X for example, when you pull down the notification shade you get this nice translucent blur over most of the screen, and the section with the quick toggles has a darker, rounded corner look. It looks really elegant and I've even adopted a similar ...

How long do you keep your phone for?

Do you upgrade yearly? Do you keep your phone until your service provider's contact is over? Or do you hold on to it until the battery can't hold a charge and/or software support is over?

The jump from one gen to the next (especially for flagships) is now pretty tiny. Sure benchmark results are still improving, but for daily use it's damn near impossible to tell a difference.
