Google Messages sends MMS video in much higher quality than Messages on iOS

TL;DR: You can find the side-by-side comparison video [here](https://imgur.com/a/QQDkHSI).

I recently noticed that videos I sent from my phone (over MMS) were much less blurry than videos sent from iPhones to me. I decided to test this theory, and sent the same 42-second test clip (over MMS) from an iPhone SE on iOS 14.7.1 and from my OnePlus 6T on Android 11 with Google Messages 10.9.360 to my Google Voice number.

**Some statistics:**

Pixel 6 Mini?

I really like the new Pixels from what I've seen, but they are just too big for my personal liking. Is anyone else preferring smaller phones like the Pixel 5?

I would love a Pixel 6 in the size of a Pixel 5! I would buy it in an instant. Sure there is the iPhone (Mini), but I just can't get myself to switch to iOS. I'm still on an OP7 Pro and it's just way too big, not comfortable to hold.

Just wanted to hear your thoughts about this since I have the feeling I'm not alone in this. Make small p...

What's your absolute must on a phone today and in 2022?

A few years ago I did this and found a few things which had become common on Android phones.
Today it will be
128 GB internal storage
8GB RAM
Fast charging of some sorts
90/120 Hz screen refresh rate
Stereo speakers
Headphone jack (still)?
SD card (still)?
5g connectivity
3 years of guaranteed OS updates

I wouldn't buy any phone without those bare minimum. Though I am in India and we mostly get dual sim phones so as long as we have hybrid sim slot I am cool, though a triple slot with dedicated ...

Google removed most of its own apps' support for the Oneui 4 palette

Before October, Google Keep, Google Drive, Google Photos, Gmail...all followed the oneui 4 palette color. After updating the application, they all returned to blue. Back to the previous version and followed the oneui 4 palette color. . This proves that Google has deleted the app’s support for oneui 4 palette colors. Currently, only Google Play, Clock, and Google Calculator follow the palette colors....

Rain X as oleophobic anti fingerprint coating for phones. 100% worth it for the little time it takes

If you still have any oleophobic coating on your phone from the factory DO NOT apply Rain X as it could wear off the remaining coating

For the amount of time and money you spent, applying Rain-X it is totally worth it.

Prior to applying I was always cleaning my phone and my phone always felt gross. Even right after cleaning.

Now I spent about 2 minutes in the morning applying it and the phone feels nicer, doesn't leave nearly as bad of marks behind and is easier to wipe off. Biggest thin...

The next front in Google's war on fragmentation is virtualization. Here's what Google plans to do about it for the Android 13 release.

Ah, fragmentation: a word that has tainted the Android platform since its inception. The way Google architected and licensed Android was designed to promote early adoption by OEMs, but those early design choices led to years of accrued technical debt that require major technical undertakings to address. Slowly but surely, Google is clawing back control over Android to address fragmentation. First, it addressed the core Android framework with Project Treble and the Generic System Image (GSI). The...

Android hardware Cleaning tip

Thin (0.3mm - 0.5mm) DRY interdental brushes are ideal for clearing those tiny port holes which house your smart device microphones and speakers.

They are a cheap product and safer than many other methods, such as rubbing alcohols, tooth picks, pins, needles.

I just used this method to clear the microphone port on my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic as it was not registering my voice when using speech to text functions.

After months of thinking I would need a to arrange a warranty replacement o...
