Google Pixel 4a Battery Life Experiment

In the last couple of months I wanted to do a little Battery Life Experiment on my Google Pixel 4a. So, first I regularly updated my phone to Android 12 and noticed that I lost about 1 hour of battery life compared to Android 11. On Android 12 I hardly got 3,5 hours of screen-on-time. This got me thinking and I downgraded to Android 11 again. I immediatly noticed that the battery lasted approximately one hour more. TIL that if you tap to open the AR lenses on Snapchat and then take a picture, the post-processing will be removed and your pictures will look much better!

I recently bought the Galaxy S20 FE and while I really like the phone, I hate how bad Snapchat's camera quality is, especially the front camera's. Apparently this is a really common issue on Android phones besides a few exceptions.

I came across this thread where someone suggested to open the AR lenses while taking a picture. I thought it was BS but it actually made a hug...

TL;DR You can get circular icons and a scrolling app list on newer Galaxy devices without using a third party launcher. You can use Samsung's GoodLock (Theme Park and Home Up module) from their Galaxy Store. This will contain compromises - purists be warned.
