Google will kill call recording apps once and for all on 11th May

Not sure how many of you care about this. Probably not many 😅

There is a new Google Play Store policy coming up. Apps are no longer permitted to use Accessibility API for call recording on Google Play Store.

Google have been working to stop call recording on Android for some time. They have blocked access to real call recording on Android 6 and completely blocked call recording over the microphone ...

Lenovo's main tablet has been unusable for everyone since early January and no fix yet

Multiple users have reported an issue with their Lenovo P11 Pro as far as early January. The device lost its ability to play Netflix in HD, and even play Prime Video at all. A post has been created on Lenovo's forums (https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Android-based-Tablets-and-Phablets/Lenovo-P11-Pro-Netflix-Widevine-downgraded-to-L3/m-p/5122171?page=20#5623661), it took ages for us to get any news about the issue. Then we had an OTA expected in late March (which we didn't had), and until now,...

There're 37 flagship phones with headphone jacks, released in the past 2 years (since Snapdragon 865).

The headphone jack is far from dead, I did a search using GSMArena's phone finder, here are all flagship phones (defined as having a flagship SoC: SD865, SD888, or SD8 Gen 1) with headphone jacks:

There're 37 phones so far, there will probably be more in the future as more phones with SD8 Gen 1 come out.

The headphone jack is s...

Last night my Android phone warned me of strong earthquake tremors 10 seconds before it happened and recommended to take shelter. What an amazing technology.

So in short, last night there was an strong earthquake in southeastern Europe that I also felt.

I remember reading about Android early earthquake detection technology but I didn’t knew they also activated it in other countries then the US and Japan (I’m in Croatia).

This has a very strong potential to save lives in future. The phone sounded alert even though it was on silent and it had a short checklist of safety measures like seek shelter, get dressed and turn off the gas.

Here is a picture...
