Microsoft Office shows ads now, blocking the worksheet

Just look at the placement. Also it keeps coming in a few min even if you press the cross.

Looks like Microsoft needs all the money it can get.

Zenfone 9 critique - the good, the bad, and the very ugly.

I received my Zenfone 9 on Friday. Overall, I like it, but as ever there are some aspects (primarily visual) that are disappointing.

Trigger warning: As ever, I’m deep-diving into detail, and being critical of things that will annoy detail-focused people. I’m a digital designer, and this stuff is important to me. If you are not interested in a polished UI/experience, or don't like critique of details, then this review is not intended for you.

If you don't immediately notice the difference ...

Asuz Zenfone 9 Review from a non-tech enthusiast

Coming from a Nokia 8 (world's best phone - fight me - with the world's worst camera) i wanted a small to medium sized phone, 120hz display, fast chip and a 3.5mm jack and didn't care much for the camera or wireless charging. Didn't have many options on the last year so i was delaying the purchase of a new phone. Until our god and saviour MKBHD drop a banger video on the Zenfone 9 right when i was thinking of buying an s22.

I was ecstatic: a small phone, flagship soc, 120hz screen, headphone ...

TxtNet Browser - Browse the web without Wi-Fi or Mobile Data, relying only on SMS

Hello everyone,

I just finished creating TxtNet Browser, which is a web browser that sends pre-parsed HTML over SMS using Brotli compression and a custom encoding method developed to use as many characters of the GSM-7 alphabet as possible. The result is a simple browsing experience which, when working properly, can transmit websites at a blistering speed of 6kbps! I was inspired by the GitHub user coldsauce who also created a similar project back in 2014. The app doesn't even request internet ...

OnePlus repairing service removed possibility to choose what to replace

This happened in America, after reading some posts in r/OnePlus about users having to pay over 500/700€ for repairing their phones. But now it seems that it has been adopted by OnePlus in Europe (or, at least, Italy) and India too.

There was a page for ordering different parts for each phone, even for the OnePlus 1. You could choose from motherboard with different RAM/ROM, battery, back shell, charging port etc. Now, instead, OnePlus decided to remove the page, ~~even on the Indian website~~ <-...
