Samsung's new Camera Assistant app allows you to speed up the shutter

Screenshot

This should help with pictures of pets and toddlers. I am not able to test this because I live alone. It would be great if the community can share their results....

DevOpen Source I made a simple spending-tracking app :)

Hi. I made this simple spending-tracking app basically because I needed it for myself (there are tons of alternatives but often bloated with ads and/or with too many options while I needed a basic tool), and I decided to share it on google play in case someone it could be of use to someone else.

Keep in mind it's a small app developed in a few hours mostly for myself so don't be too harsh if you find some bugs; but in case, if you let me know I'll fix them.

The app is free and with no ads.

My DREADFUL Android / Google experience - switching from an iPhone

# Why I decided to switch back to Android:

To clarify, I used an iPhone for the last 3 years and exclusively Samsung devices before that.

1) My 11 Pro's battery lasts max. 4h even though it has 88% battery health. It sometimes looses over 20% in the matter of half an hour, even when not using the device at all. I tried everything from deleting apps to monitoring the battery usage and nothing worked.

2) IOS 15 and 16 have been incredibly buggy for me. However, things always worke...

Samsung S20+ vs S22+ : A high level comparison

I was comparing the two phones on GSMArena, and there are hardly any differences between the two phones. These were the only relevant ones I could find -

* Processor - Easily the biggest and most significant difference between the two. Especially if you are on the Exynos 990.

* 5G - More bands are supported. Not a huge thing for the short term, at least for me.

* Camera - the S20+ had a 64MP telephoto camera, while the S22+ has a 50MP wide camera instead and a 10MP telephoto. Bigger sensor...

Fun fact: the "What's new" section in the german Play Store listing of the official "Google" app has not been updated in 7 years (!)

Link to web version

I'm sorry, there is no real point to this post, I just found this really funny. (Well, maybe someone from the responsible team sees this and they fix it in the future...)

The german "what's new" section has been showing the same "new" features since 2015, and ironically these features were not even available in German at that time.

Maximum bluetooth volume suddenly very low on all connected devices

I daily use my phone (pixel 5a) to connect to airpods, car stereo, and home stereo via bluetooth and noticed this week that I had to turn the volume of each of these devices to 100% maximum to listen at a normal volume. The bottom half of the volume slider was almost inaudible.

*After trying a few posted solutions, this one solved it for me:
In developer settings set 'Disable hardware offload A2DP' to on, then reboot when it prompts for reboot.

I will note it could also be a combination of ot...
