Maximum bluetooth volume suddenly very low on all connected devices

I daily use my phone (pixel 5a) to connect to airpods, car stereo, and home stereo via bluetooth and noticed this week that I had to turn the volume of each of these devices to 100% maximum to listen at a normal volume. The bottom half of the volume slider was almost inaudible.

*After trying a few posted solutions, this one solved it for me:
In developer settings set 'Disable hardware offload A2DP' to on, then reboot when it prompts for reboot.

I will note it could also be a combination of ot...

PSA: DDG App Tracking Protection

Hello All (I will be posting on r/GooglePixel as well),

I am writing this post because I have received quite a few DM's and responses to my recommendation of Duck Duck Go's (DDG) App Tracking Protection that they provide on Android. I had assumed that this was a widely known option for privacy protection, but clearly it isn't. So...

TLDR: DDG has a (beta) feature called "App Tracking Protection" inside of its Android browser app that you can request access to via a waitlist. It doe...

Switched from Note 20 Ultra to Pixel 7 Pro (10 years of Samsung) - My thoughts

For the first time in around 10 years, I decided to switch to a different brand.
My devices in the past: Iphone 4s -> Galaxy Note 3 -> Galaxy s6 edge -> Galaxy s8+, Galaxy s10+ -> Galaxy Note 20 Ultra -> Pixel 7 Pro.

I own a Galaxy Watch 4 classic, Buds pro, and Tab s8 ultra on top of that, so I was somewhat invested in the Galaxy ecosystem. In terms of phones, I just wanted to try something new.

I love Galaxy phones and their UI, features, and form factor. The main reason I stayed with Gal...

Worst phone you've ever owned and why

Basically the noscript.

I'll start: SGS20FE 4G / Exynos version

Why?

Miserable battery life. I had to turn off 120Hz right from the start to get even through a day.
It really showed the terrible efficiency of the exynos.
Even with everything disabled, I barely got 5 hours SoT. And the standby drain was insane....

Google Messages is a fantastic replacement for Signal!

If you've heard the news, Signal has killed itself by deleting the only reason that anyone even used their obscure app. Most users are extremely unhappy with the news and are leaving Signal. The only reason why the app had any users at all is because it was a clean, beautiful, easy, all-in-one SMS app with added cryptography if both parties used Signal.

Now they're deleting the ability to send SMS, and...
