Switched from Pixel 3 XL to 6 Pro, a summary.

As is tradition here, and maybe I'm a little behind and nobody cares, but AMA.

Had my P3XL for 3 years, clearly it's EOL in terms of software support, and hardware starting to feel a little clunky (more on this later). Even after a good cleaning, for the last couple months my USB port decided it wanted to be directional. I took it as a sign it was time to move on.

Why the P6P? Why not the 6a or the 7P, or a Samsung? TL;DR - Was able to pick up a like-new 6 Pro for $350 USD. So the 6a is $2...

Is Arm shooting itself in the foot with suing Qualcomm over nuvia ip? - discussion

Article in question

https://www.theregister.com/2023/01/04/armqualcommlawsuit/

This article I was reading brings up a good point with the whole Qualcomm v arm debacle. Even if arm wins or loses this suit. It has pushed more rapid development to risc-v for this suit just existing. We just saw a few days ago Google announcing Android for risc-v. Also apparently arm terminated nuvia's license agreement already. I don't think it would go nuclear in the sense of nuvia ip being destroyed. But eith...

New to Sub, Long Time User / Casual Enthusiast (?)

I'm one of those kinds of people who has had Android a long time, has used it a lot and many different versions / systems / devices, but I don't have deep technical knowledge of it (for instance, I've never rooted Android before). But I do know a few little fun things here and there, kind of like with Windows Longhorn betas, just from using it so much.

I have recently gotten back into my Android "craze", and ordered a few more items. I also have many current devices running android (since they'...

24h with the Iqoo 11 5G

Bought it off of eBay, the international version with Funtouch OS . I'm in the US and it works great on T-Mobile.

Couldn't wait to get my hands on the snapdragon 8 gen 2 .... All I can say is that battery efficiency on this thing right out of the box is impressive . I'm getting 8+ hours of screen on time and am absolutely punishing it.

Looking forward to the new line of flagships coming out in the next few months....
