What is the near-future tech boost for "Audio" in phones?

For displays we have = MicroLED

For batteries we have = Graphene Batteries

For Security we have = Improved FaceID / Under display scanning

For charging we have = Faster charging for wireless

For cameras we have = larger sensors, periscope lens, etc (I feel lots of possibility for improvements here.

But is there anything (EVEN POSSIBLE) for audio? Dolby audio? Im assuming not. But curious enough to ask you techies here :)

("Near term" might be vague, idk 3-7 years mayb...

android 11 bluetooth call audio no sound issue --fix--

I thought I would post this fix here as it was frustrating. I wasn't able to hear call audio on my plantronics earbuds.

I tried the native call app and google voice app, no difference. I tried 2 different b/t earpieces same result, no audio, all while the phone speaker and speakerphone worked. My pc works for calls with each of these b/t devices. I reset network/bt settings, no change. Also tried forget/repair devices, no lu...

Smart Lock is being rebranded to "Extend Unlock", while the Pixel Watch will get an enhanced "Watch Unlock" feature

You're probably familiar with "Smart Lock", a feature that keeps your phone unlocked while it's connected to a "trusted device" like your smartwatch via Bluetooth. The problem with "Smart Lock" is that it's really not smart or secure — just because your phone is connected to your watch via Bluetooth doesn't mean your watch is actively on your person or even within a couple of feet.
