Real world battery life of my S23 Ultra vs S22 Ultra (Exynos) after the first full charge and day usage of each.

Screenshot.

Quite remarkable how much has changed in less than a year for Samsung Mobile. The SD8 gen 2 chipset is really showing how much more efficient it is vs Exynos and the battery life I am seeing highlights this perfectly.

For reference, both times each phone had all apps and settings cloned over from the outgoing phone. All usage patterns are the same with the exception of the 23's day 1 usage having a 40 minute Zoom video call, but even still you can...

After 2 Generations of Iphones, 2 Android Phones managed to beat the 14PM and 13PM's Battery in GSMarena's test

Here is a screenshot

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip has successfully made the 2 phones (S23 Ultra and IQOO 11) more efficient both of which gave a rating of 126H and 127H, respectively on GSMarena's Battery Test beating both Iphone models which only scored 121H

SD8 Gen 2 surprising didn't made Oneplus 11's battery better only scoring 108H, Oneplus 10 Pro scored 107H...

After using the Bellroy leather case on the Pixel 7 for only 4 months, it is already tearing and peeling and Bellroy support says this is "not a manufacturing fault". Be warned about this product.

I bought a Pixel 7 Pro in October and my wife bought a regular Pixel 7. We both decided to splurge on a better case this time around and went with the Bellroy leather cases. These cases are $60 each, so about $120 in total.

After only 4 months of standard, regular use, BOTH of our cases have started to tear and peel at the corners. See images here: https://imgur.com/a/rwMNpyQ

Given this product was $60 and only lasted 4 months, I thought clearly this should be co...

Real users go off-grid! (c'mon Google)

Can Google engineers stop pretending that all its users are connected to the grid all the time? Not everyone lives in California, and some grid dependencies range from annoying to dangerous. Two recent examples:

1) I was using Google Maps recently to navigate to a wilderness destination. I had the route set and could see it all while on grid. I never closed Maps, but shortly after leaving network service, Maps lost the route and was totally useless. I would have been completely lost had I not h...

S23 ultra fingerprint sensor is still rubbish.

In 2023, top of the line androids which cost the same as best iPhone still cannot outmatch an iPhone 4 at quickly and easily unlocking a screen.

Not even going to bother with the face id parody which doesn't even pretend to be as good as apple's so the ridiculous underscreen sensor is the only option.

I'm not sure why android manufactures went away from actual fingerprint sensors, it must be a dislike for all the things that actually work well. Also not sure why everyone is fine with the abs...
