You can once again hide the gesture bar (or bring back Samsung's version of gesture navigation) in One UI 6.1

With One UI 6.1, currently only available on the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung removed two options in navigation settings:

1) The ability to hide the "gesture hint" (ie. the bar at the bottom when you're using Android's gesture navigation).

2) The ability to use Samsung's "swipe from bottom" navigation gestures.

Fortunately, Samsung is rolling out an update to NavStar, the Good Lock module that lets you customize navigation, that brings back the setting to hide the gesture hint as well as...

An overview of the Galaxy AI features on the S24 series

This post is an overview of most of the Galaxy AI features available on the S24 series. I’ve included some of my findings at the top after trying out these features, followed by a brief denoscription of each feature for context.

Disclosure: These features were tested on an S24 Ultra on loan from Samsung.

Google is starting to roll out Quick Share

One user reported seeing the new Quick Share (formerly called Nearby Share) on their Pixel phone, and after I shared this news on Twitter, four other Pixel users chimed in saying they now have Quick Share.

Note: Google's Quick Share is not the same as Samsung's Quick Share, though they're now interoperable. Google's Quick Share is part of Google Play Services, while Samsung's is through its Quick Share app which is being updated
