Asus says they will unlock my bootloader for ...money.

Proving they didn't learn anything from the RMA fiasco: Removing an advertised feature (unlocking bootloader), lying to customers (unlock tool) coming back for over a year, denying warranty for unlocked bootloader, even though its illegal in the EU and now asking for money to do it!



In case you are unaware Asus (supposedly) did a makeover of their RMA procedures after it got exposed by Gamers Nexus for practically scamming customers during repairs. Youtube Link

Does anyone actually prefer older Android versions?

It might be just nostalgia, or fear from changes.. but honestly, I feel like all the recent years' updates both provide some useful and cool features, but also break some things

And on top of all that, google seems to be reinventing the wheel too much, and changing the standards really often. Don't even get me started on the design guidelines, which often aren't followed by the Google-made apps

There are so many drastic changes with layout of the UI, APIs like the filesystem behavior and so on...

Branch, the company that acquired Nova Launcher two years ago, has laid off many people working on the launcher
