I built a messenger-style note app using Jetpack Compose and Hilt. It’s open source and would love your feedback

**Hey everyone**
I’m an Android developer and recently created a personal project called **ChatNote**. It’s a **note-taking** app that looks like a messaging app. Instead of writing in a traditional editor, you just “send” notes to yourself like you’re having a chat.

I noticed people started downloading it without any ads or promotion. Many of them are keeping it and actually using it daily. So I figured it’s time to get feedback from fellow developers.

ANNOUNCEMENT AndroLaunch - A Native macOS Menu Bar App for Seamless Android Device Management (ADB/Scrcpy)

Hey, r/android community!

I'm super excited to share a project I've been working on: AndroLaunch! It's a professional macOS menu bar application designed to make managing your Android devices through ADB and Scrcpy a breeze. >It looks like you are raising an issue as an Android user, rather than an Android Open Source Developer.

>For user support, please see the Android Help Center or post on our Android ...

How do you browse for apps and games in 2025?

Do you use some curated lists? Other websites? 3rd party app stores? Over the years google play has became unusable unless you know what you're looking for, but it's basically 99% adware and 1% good apps (especially those ad-ridden inapp purchase simulator games), but finding that 1% is nearly impossible nowadays.

I recently stumbled upon an issue where I lost my BT headphones and had to look for an app that could help me find them using Bluetooth signal or whatever. It was traumatizing experie...

Android only lets Google Assistant not tell the user when their screen content is accessed

In the Android settings “Default apps → Digital assistant app”, there is a “Flash screen” option whose purpose is to tell the user when their screen content is accessed. This is enforced for all digital assistants except Google Assistant. Why this special treatment? This doesn’t feel right.

To try this yourself, install another assistant such as “Home Assistant”. You will see that option grayed out....
