Nothing else has made me concerned than NOTHING. Their Lock Glimpse has hidden secrets.

Hi all,
I'm just a humble patron of the several NOTHING subreddits and I thought (along with guidance) to share something completely disturbing.
You guys should be aware of the 9to5Google made a post regarding the new Nothing OS 4 Lock Glimpse (https://9to5google.com/2025/12/17/nothing-lockscreen-ads-battery-life-removal/) and how it absolutely shreds battery life.

Well, I did some digging myself and found out...

What's going on with battery life nowadays?

I've had alot of phones these last couple of years. Mostly midrange and flagships. I've noticed with Xiaomi 15T pro and Pixel 10 pro that the battery life is sick.

I'm at like 40-50% left in the evening after 6-8 hours of SoT.

Both of them running VERY cool for me. Compared to all iPhones i've had.

I quite like the Xiaomi 15T pro. Nice cameras and I dont mind the UI. Not as nice as Samsung though.

Sorry just abit of a ramble but I'm impressed. ...

Curious what everyone else uses in 2025: are you fully phone-only for scanning, and which scanner app did you actually stick with long term (bonus points if it’s FOSS or one-time purchase)?...

What's the best voice dictation/ real-time trannoscription on Android phone?

I have been searching for voice dictation and real-time trannoscription apps to replace manual typing. Currently, I find Gboard’s voice dictation on the Google Pixel to be flawless; I have no complaints at all. However, that isn’t the case for Gboard on other Android phones, where it frequently cuts me off mid-sentence, which is frustrating.

Other alternatives I’ve found are usually Whisper-based. While these are perfect for English, they often lack support for the other languages I use, forcing ...

What small Android feature or setting made the biggest difference in your daily use?

Android has so many built-in features and settings that are easy to overlook, but some of them can quietly make everyday use a lot smoother.

For example, things like per-app notification controls, system-wide dark mode, or even small gesture tweaks ended up having more impact for me than major version updates.

I’m curious — what small Android feature or setting improved your experience the most, even if it seems minor?...
