Has Project treble worked?

Pie was supposed to be the first android OS to take advantage of treble and make sure updates are faster because the onus was on the android developers to work out how to make the OS work on their phones and not depend on the chipmakers to deliver drivers and optimize on their end (which was an added step, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

So what happened? All OS updates announced are going at the exact same pace as before, nothing has sped up, google released Pie beta in April or somet...

Pocophone is a phone for old people...

And that's not a bad thing.

How often do we see relatives in their 50s-70s using some piece of shit phone tossed at them for free by a telco?

Typical problems with these phones are that they slow down, run out of space or battery within a year or two.(old ppl like to keep their phones for a longgg time)

Pocophone with snapdragon 845 and 6gb ram and 4000mah batt is built for longevity. It gives old folks everything they need (headphone jack, big bright screen) and cuts corners on things the...

I know there's been a lot of hate to HTC in the past few years, some of it unfair IMO. Edge Sense is great, camera is underrated, phones have a nice aesthetic, overall I love my U11. BUT there's a major problem going on right now. I'm on a security update from NOVEMBER OF 2017!!! AND theyve been stringing us along on the pie update forever. I knew it wouldn't come quick, but after years of being in the top end of OEMs as far as steady updates I'm honestly surprised by the lack of updates or comm...

YSK: There's a new shortcut to the contextual help screen that used to be called "Google Now"

Those contextual cards that show things like where you parked, your flight status, package deliveries, etc etc etc. It's slightly different now in terms of how it looks, but the functionality seems to all be there!

1. Hold your physical google assistant button (be that the home button, a gesture shortcut, a squeeze if you're on the pixel, etc etc)

2. Swipe up

End Of Hardware Innovation for Smart Phone?

currently in searching for smart phone replace my dead phone, it seems to me that we end of the road regarding hardware nothing new other than More RAM+Storage space and especially remove stuff like NFC from budget/mid range phones, depends on personal used but for me camera not really important..

only thing i can see next thing are 5G and better of waiting for next year if you on flagship...can't see any use more than 8GB of ram. Flagship phones like sammy-Iphone over $1,500AUD...while other p...
