TIL 1-Handed Zoom on Images

Started noticing that the once introduced in Google Maps, the ability to do a 1-handed zoom can be done in various android apps, at the very least on Pie. I haven't tested much of Google's own stock apps, but can verify that it doesn't seem to work in Google Photos. It worked in Joey and an open source manga app called Tachiyomi. Sure yeah, it might be too soon to call major support of this feature, but just wanting to put this out there for people who may want to start trying it out in differe...

Fixing screen diagonal figures for inconsistently tall phones

Much as I appreciate having a taller screen for multitasking, they also make for inflated screen diagonal statistics, which would be fine, were it not for the fact that there seems to be no agreement between OEMs on how tall their screens should be now.

Why hasn't one Android developer risen to the top?

Let me start off by saying that I'm making the swap from iOS to Android. I can't be bothered paying Apple tax on new devices. One thing that I will say that I've noticed over the course of my research is that there are a ton of companies making phones using Android. Even though it originated as a Google product, I don't see any clear "king of the hill". Am I wrong about this? I just see so many different makers (Google, Oneplus, Huawei, Xiaomi, Nokia, Sony, etc...) and none of them have the mark...
