What ever happened to "Instant Apps?"

Remember way back when Google announced "Instant Apps" for Pie or Oreo? I remember encountering ONE Instant App because I was curious and purposefully looked for something that would initiate an Instant App. After that, I have never seen any other instance of the functionality.

It seemed like such a good idea at the time. For example, Amazon. I don't go on Amazon often enough to justify downloading the incredibly unpolished app. But it's still better than going to the mobile website. I wish the...

What happened to "profiles" in Android?

Long story short; many android versions ago the concept of phone profiles existed ie allowing you to set up different phone configurations regarding ringer, silence, wifi, screen brightness, Bluetooth etc ("Day", "Car" and "Work" profiles, for instance). These profiles could be quickly switched between through shortcuts, or the drop down menu. You could also set the alarm to load a specific profile at the time the alarm was activated. Google Pixel 3 but really Phones or Tech in General

Long story short, my Google Pixel 3 USB-C earbuds that came in the box don't control media player apps in my Pixel 3. Really, really don't control them, the only thing that does work is single tap pause.

**-me proceeding to not tell a short story, just skip down I guess-**

Single tap play doesn't work, double tap skip, triple tap skip back all don't work. And on the single tap play case I can be in the app, just having paused it, and single tap doesn't bring me back in. I just got off the pho...

Unpopular Opinion: Big phones are better

I've seen many people preach for smaller phones here because big phones are either too big to fit into pockets or bad one hand usability. For the first point, I have a Mi Max 3 (6.9") and it can fit all of my clothing except jeans. I disagree that it's too big to fit, but it sure doesn't look good on tighter fits.

For one hand usability, I feel that many people haven't tried gestures navigation. On my phone, I have to swipe right from left edge to go back, and swipe up from bottom to go home...

Opinion: The Google Pixel is no longer what it was known for

It was known for its best performance, great battery life, great speakers, and the best camera. Now?

- The Pixel 3 has mediocre RAM management (even after December patch), and multiple reviewers even report it stuttering. Definitely not best performance.

- Speaker quality is worse than Pixel 2 XL, and Pixel 3 XL has widespread distortion issues. Not great, but above average speaker.

- The battery life of the Pixel 3 XL is noticeably worse than Pixel 2 XL according to benchmarks, and many r...
