LG G8 to be $1199.99 CAD

So we got the G8 sku in our system today, Canadian price. I think LG is shooting too high with this one

Price could always change slightly, but it’s unlikely to be different by much. I’d expect a $900ish USD price...

(Discussion) Have your phone replaced your computer?

For every day tasks like web browsing, some basic video or photo editing, watching movies etc?

Or you still prefer your computer over a smartphone for everyday tasks?

I personally still prefer my computer over my smartphone because of much better multitasking, much bigger screen and so on....

RCS RBM Tester Management invite?

https://imgur.com/gallery/wYaMtCn

Anyone else receive this via Messages today? I'm not sure what this is as I didn't sign up to be a tester.

The CLX website says they're working with Google to implement this RBM. So I'm not sure if Google sent this to random people using RCS.

Thanks....

Google News Vs. Apple News

Is there a reason why Google can't improve the UI of its news app? I use Apple News on my iPad, and all of the stories are seamless and seem to open "in-app." With Google news, it seems that it simply redirects us to the website where the story is.

If it helps, I'm on an S9...

Google’s Android team should hire new people. The current Android has reached its zenith under the current team. Android has lost some luster. There is no appeal anymore.

It’s time to get some new blood in there. Reason? Android is at a point where it’s very mature. The current team did all that could it in my opinion. Android needs a fresh touch. It’s like when Apple got a new design lead for iOS 7. They were given the power to change everything . I’m not saying google should make some drastic change. We need another Matias Duarte moment when he shifted android from the 2.0 to 3.0-4.0. Android 5.0 was amazing but it was a continuation of 4.0 and Duarte’s work. A...

Will a phone with snapdragon 636/660/675 with 3/4gb ram would still be good for the next 3 years?

I know it is a budget/mid range spec but they seem pretty good for these days in terms of multitasking and heavy usage. Just wondering if it is worth it to stick to the same budget/mid range phone for the next few years...

4 GB RAM enough for the future?

Hello,

I just got a Mate 20. It's an amazing piece of hardware, blazingly fast and just beautiful. But in Germany when buying from phone vendors, its only equipped with a small amount of RAM compared to other flagships. So while I enjoy the phone greatly, its a bittersweet taste in my mouth. Everything else is so premium and high end but then the RAM is just 4 GB.

Everyone else already has 6 and 8 GB RAM, so I wonder if that will have an impact for future proofing regarding future O...
