I made a Free simple and clean to-do app, it's called Let's go check it out!

Hey! I'm the developer of **Let's**, a new take on to-do lists. I was getting tired of either bland/cluttered looking UI's or just plain boring to-do apps, so I made my own! I worked on this for the last couple of months in my spare time so any feedback would really be appreciated.

All you have to do to complete a task is Swipe!

The more tasks you complete the more you win points which win you trophies!

I also made it so you can only put 5 tasks at a time, letting you focus on what really nee...

I can confirm that the Pixel Camera is still a laggy piece of crap after the March OTA. It is slow to start and frequently destroys videos entirely by freezing for several seconds, or straight up erroring out and stopping the recoding which is what just happened. Again.

PSA: Samsung (Canada) Not Honouring Pre-Order Trade-In Quotes

I pre-ordered my S10+ in person at the Samsung store in late February. The pre-order incentive at the time was 'Device trade in value + $200 bonus'. I was quoted $350 for my s9+, for a total trade-in credit of $550. Tonight when I went to pick up my phone I was told the quote given on the day of my pre-order was no longer valid and that Samsung was now offering $225 trade-in credit + $200 bonus for a total trade-in credit of $425, a difference of $125! After 45 minutes and the assurance that I w...

PSA: Try removing the pre installed Samsung screen protector if your Galaxy s10/s10+ fingerprint reader is being inconsistent

I know there are articles about this on different websites but I wanted to post about this here since I didn't see a post specifically about this on this subreddit (apologies if there was one already and I missed it).

If you can live without a screen protector I would highly recommend doing this as it made my experience with the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner 10x better....

The benefits of having a phone with an unlockable bootloader

TL-DR at the bottom.

Your next phone should have an unlockable bootloader. There's not a lot of phones out there that have an unlockable bootloader but to me at least, this is very important. Having an unlockable bootloader gives you the possibility to flash a custom recovery, and from there then you have the ability to flash a custom rom, root, and even xposed. It gives you a lot of freedom, having root is basically having admin privileges on your phone. This also helps you extend your phone's...

Pocket Casts devs launched version 7, two days ago and its subreddit is in open revolt

TL;DR -- ShiftyJelly (Pocket Casts devs) has been testing 'v7' in beta for a few months now. It removed some pretty basic features like multiselect on podcast episode menus and support for playlists as a whole. So when they took v7 out of beta and auto-update happened -- users who had dozens of playlists saw all of them suddenly wiped out with virtually no warning.

As of right now, it's [full out warfare](https://www.reddit.com/r/pocketcasts/top/?sort=top&t=week) in /r/PocketCasts between the d...

Face recognition is EXTREMELY unreliable on Galaxy S10+

Received my phone yesterday and had face recognition set up right away. I knew it would be less reliable than iPhone's but just thought I'd be OK with the idea that someone could unlock it using a photo of me.

I was wrong, it's way less reliable than that! I went to the pub meet some friends and one of them asks to check it. I hand it to him locked. It suddenly unlocks with him! I thought maybe the camera spotted my face when I was handing it to him. We lock it again and bam, as soon as he pres...

Remove is not Uninstall - malware uses new persistence technique.

[Original post here.](https://redd.it/ayv5n9)

/u/lukasstefanko on /r/androidapps found a new method used by malware found on the Play Store by which it keeps itself from being uninstalled. It creates a new icon on the launcher that prevents itself from being uninstalled, only "removed", leaving the app itself still on the phone.

This is demonstrated on this video here: https://t.co/HrAVw6TTLq

Thought I would crosspost as this might deceive a lot of new Android users and keep potential malwa...

A guide to use Tasker to turn Power Saving on when display is turned off, and vise versa

This dramatically increased my battery life, so I though I'll share it with the community. Just follow each step carefully.

1. Download Tasker from the Play Store. It is a paid app, but it is worth it than paying to replace your whole battery.
2. Download ADB on a PC. You will have to follow this guide first [**http://tinyurl.com/y7454478**](http://tinyurl.com/y7454478) to enable developer mode and USB debugging if you have not yet. Also you can download the file through that link. Once downl...

TIL that you can use your Switch JoyCon's to connect to your Android device!

Connect them by using the pairing button on the JoyCons.
Only major game I know that seems to be working well is Asphalt 8: Airborne.
You can also use them to play Delphin Emulator games. They have a big input lag which can be undone [using a rooted Android device](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiqQtEKUoV0&).
I am currently waiting on unlocking the bootloader on my POCO F1 to test this out, but I tried playing Super Smash Bros Melee and it was very fluently.
I'm gonna try to answer your ques...

In-screen Camera?

Don't know if this is possible, but could a camera be placed under the screen preferably in the top right or left or even middle and then when the user needs to use the camera, the pixels above the camera become transparent to allow the camera to see through.

Would love too see this in android phones, so the notch and mechanical camera pop-up thingy don't have to be used.

What are your thoughts?...
