Motorola's flagship Z2 force still runs on 2017 software (Android 8.0) in Q2 of 2019

As the noscript says, Z2 force is still motorola's true flagship phone around the world since z3 is a verizon exclusive phone and z4 might come with a mediocre SD675 (lol) chipset as per the rumours.

Considering how tight the market it, Lenovo owned motorola has decided to give up the trouble to update their premium range phones.

Z2 force was launched with a hefty price of $700 worldwide and 34999 INR in India.

The phone was launched in July 2017 in most of the countries, and in March ...

RAM Manager for Magisk - a fix for aggressive app killing on android

So, I got a 3gb ram phone in 2017 - an upgrade from a 512 mb phone. I also had a 3gb ram tablet - which on Kitkat kept something like 300 mb ram free. Upgrade to Marshmallow, and the amount of free ram increased to ~800 mb, and the multitasking capabilities decreased drastically. The 3gb ram smartphone was marshmallow too, and it couldn't keep more than 5 apps open - often, even 3 would be a problem.

Back to 2019, and an upgrade to Oreo on the 3gb ram smartphone, and the problem is still not f...

The Google+ shutdown means we have to manually remove Google+ profiles from our Google contacts!

Just spent the morning cleaning up 30 of my contacts who now have non-existent "Profile" links thanks to the Google+ shutdown. What a waste of time - Google really doesn't eat their own dogfood, eh?...

"Real Review" BS

Am I the only one who finds these Real Review noscriptd YouTube reviews cheesy? I mean it will always have the personal opinion of the reviewer no matter what. If the review contents are decent and the camera work, editing etc are amazing people will eventually watch the videos. Channels like MKBHD are perfect example of that. He is definitely no way near as detailed in reviewing hardware and gadgets like many other youtube reviewers but he doesn't make things extremely complex. It is not like I ha...

"Find my device". Why is it so bad at location finding, when Google Maps Timeline perfectly tracks me daily?

I had to use find my phone and it said my device was last online 3 days ago and showed a very old position. I eventually found the phone in my car. However, in that time, google maps timeline has perfectly shown where I've been during those 3 days by triangulating with wi-fi (my location is turned off) and shown me every stop i've made down to the minute. Why are different parts of google so disconnected? I could send a ring and secure request, but the location it told me to search was comple...

Youtube reviewers and pretty much all the internet should stop over-hyping OnePlus

I mean with that [track record](https://www.howtogeek.com/340174/its-time-to-stop-buying-phones-from-oneplus/)...

Also, I doubt anyone of those reviewers actually used the phone for more than a day. Why haven't anyone of them talked about the horrible touch lag? Coming from any well-known to have low latency phone (Nexus, Pixel, iPhone etc) you \*will\* notice the difference, to the point it'll be unbearable. Also things like obvious written-by-the-Chinese English, with bad punctuation and spac...

Delay app

Hey, so I had an idea of an app and was wondering if it already existed. Basically, the app would force a delay on apps you selected beforehand, before opening it. Let's say you force a 15 seconds delay on your Facebook app, every time you want to open it, you tap it as usual but it would only actually open 15 seconds later.

This could be an interesting app as it could reduce people's "unintentional" app use, when they only open an app out of boredom.

I tried to do some research as if this app...

How easy would it be to mess up someones phone if you were to recommend nonroot and playstore only apps??

its 2019, alot has changed and google has new guidelines. which apps you think should be removed from the playstore.

what combination of playstore apps would make a completely functional phone borderline unusable?
Apps that so bad they dont deserve to be in the playstore?

if you were to play it as a joke how would you convince a person to try them?

what are things you think google shouldve already done to prevent this?....
