What Google Messages Needs

Since Allo is no more, unfortunately I was pushed to another platform. Google's decision to discontinue Allo was supposedly because they moved the engineers from Allo over to Messages. This is all well and good, but Messages has virtually **NONE** of the features from Allo. The only thing they've apparently done is gently revamp the UI so it sports Material Design 2, instead of Material Design 1. Granted, MD2 is a welcome change, as is Dark Mode and the Messages on the Web feature.

Here's how you can crash your Google Pixel

[I discovered this bug a good while ago](https://streamable.com/b89wy). Reported to Google and nothing was done about it. It's not a very critical bug, but it does affect all Google Pixels on Pie (not sure about Q).

Try it out on your phone and let us all know the results please. Maybe Google will notice?

Edit: Corrected a typo, meant to say it's NOT a critical bug. But still... Would be nice if it was fixed....

Greener grass

I'm using an XR now and it's a joyless iMessage machine. I've come to hate faceid, the notch is still annoying (why would anyone copy that?!), it's heavy and slippery and after using a friend's Note 9 on the same network, his was so much faster I thought my phone was broken.

I've also had 2 Notes, an s7, and HTC One. But security issues, update issues, lag issues, nonexistent customer support and the goog's history of killing things seemingly because they found out I relied on them (not an and...
