AMA: Google Pixel 3a XL in hand

For the past week, I've had in my possession a pre-production purple 3a XL. Here are core specs of my unit which I used AIDA64 for verification and other features that are missing or present which I've come across

Google Pushing Security Updates .. Why Isn't This A Bigger Deal??

So, one of the "big reveals" at I/O today was the whole concept of "No Reboot Security Patches"

Quite honestly, I dont care if my phone needs to reboot after a security patch. A reboot doesn't make a huge difference to me.

Unpopular opinion: The pixel 3a and 3a XL wont sell well outside the US.

With prices starting at USD $399 & SGD $659 in my country, The pixel 3a is almost twice the price of the pocophone f1 and still hundreds of dollars more expensive than the xiaomi mi9. For android purist, Android one phones like the xiaomi A2 & A2 lite & several Nokia phones cost less then half the price of the pixel 3a series.

Unlike most iPhone users, android users have much more freedom and flexibility to cross shop between brands. Google pulling a iPhone xr move out will likely fail as price...

Is the Pixel 3a the next Nexus 5?

As I'm looking at these reviews, I'm getting a heavy wave of nostalgia at that wonderful device that was the Nexus 5. All the reviews seem to echo the same praise that the Nexus 5 recieved: a great camera on a budget device with stock android, flagship features at half the price, uncompromising functionality where it counts.
