Favourite Android Q feature: Notifications for apps getting your location in the background

I've had Q beta 5 on my Pixel 3 for a few days now. It notifies me whenever an app gets location info in the background.

I'm pretty surprised at how many apps are doing that. I just got a notification for instagram. I'm loving the ability to select "only while using the app" as a location permission....

What I haven't seen anyone talk about is if you swipe 45 degrees from the perpendicular, so swipe slightly upward or down, it will open the hamburger menu almost every time without having to wait a second.

Prolonging battery lifespan

Three months ago there was [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/a6ezxo/prolonging_battery_lifespan/), debating ways to make smartphone batteries have a longer total lifespan, essentially by not charging them full.

Meanwhile there is a new hardware tool on the market that does exactly this for Android phones: ["Chargie"](https://chargie.org/).

I have ordered one, a Founder Edition, received it after a few days, and have been using it successfully.

The biggest upside is that ...
