Love Family: With grateful hearts filled to overflowing for the profound influence of Mia on our lives, we want you to know that she passed away peacefully today. She was in her home surrounded by family. In the midst of a celebration of her life and an avalanche of happy memories, Mia quietly slipped the bands of mortality and, as her words and vision always did, soared heavenward. We are thankful for the many good wishes, prayers and condolences. We are taking some time as a family and will provide information about funeral services and a public celebration of her life in the days to come.

Very sad news. I served with Mia and from the start, she brought energy and initiative to the House, made an impact right away, and delivered for her district and for Utah.

Issa on Fox on hearing on judges ruling against Trump Admin: The court needs to recognize that any interference with the commander in chief's authority really does limit the executive branch in an unfair way. Having said that, obviously you've got an activist judge, one of many who who is abusing the term district in his noscript of district court judge. And that's what we're going to rein in. The hearing on Tuesday is going to highlight these abuses. But more importantly, it's going lto find that no matter who's in the White House, no matter which party, we need to make sure the district judges do district work. BREAKING: Federal judge Edward Chen in San Francisco has blocked the Trump administration from ending TPS (Temporary Protected Status) for 350,000 Venezuelans in the US, for now. Their work permits & protection from removal was set to be terminated next week.

Judge Chen writes: “…the Secretary’s action threatens to: inflict irreparable harm on hundreds of thousands of persons whose lives, families, and livelihoods will be severely disrupted, cost the United States billions in economic activity, and injure public health and safety in communities throughout the United States. At the same time, the government has failed to identify any real countervailing harm in continuing TPS for Venezuelan beneficiaries.”
