ONE DAY IN KHERSON
On freedom of assembly in Ukraine

On March 13, 2022, two assemblies were held in Kherson, which has been under the control of the Russian army since March 2.
One - in the city center on Freedom Square, under blue and yellow flags - against the Russian occupation, organized by a supporter of the Kiev authorities.
The second one is near the monument to those who died in the Great Patriotic War in the Park of Glory, under red flags, dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the liberation of Kherson from the Nazi invaders, organized by activists and the former mayor of the city Vladimir Saldo.
The first rally was not dispersed by the Russian army. Next rallies in
Kherson under blue-and-yellow flags also took place, although Russian troops used flash-noise grenades and shots in the air against their participants.
At the same time, any rallies in the part of Ukraine controlled by the Kiev authorities are prohibited due to martial law. No opposition rallies are possible here.
In Kherson, rallies dedicated to the liberation of the city from the fascist invaders took place until 2017, when the anti-fascist meeting was dispersed by ultra-right groups with the assistance of the police.
The anti-fascist rally on March 13, 2022 is the first in Kherson since 2017.
After this rally, its organizers, such as Kirill Stremousov, received death threats from supporters of Nazism and the Kiev authorities.
The political party "Vladimir Saldo Bloc", represented in the local authorities of the Kherson region, was banned on March 20, 2022 by a decree of President Zelensky.
On March 20, 2022, the assistant and driver of the ex-mayor of Kherson Saldo, Pavel Slobodchikov, left Saldo's house and was killed by unknown people. Whether this murder was connected with the organization of the anti-fascist rally on March 13 is also unknown.
Thus, the Kyiv authorities and Nazi formations continue to oppose anti-fascist and left-wing rallies even in the territory controlled by Russian troops, just as they have been opposing the last 8 years throughout Ukraine.

13 марта 2022 в Херсоне, который с 2 марта находится под контролем российской армии, состоялось два митинга.
Один — в центре города на площади Свободы, под сине-желтыми флагами - против российской оккупации, организованный сторонником киевской власти.
Второй — возле монумента погибшим в Великой отечественной войне в парке Славы, под красными флагами — посвященный 78-й годовщине освобождения Херсона от немецких фашистских захватчиков, организованный активистами и бывшим мэром города Владимиром Сальдо.
Первый митинг не был разогнан российской армией. Следующие митинги в
Херсоне под сине-желтыми флагами также состоялись, хотя российские войска и применяли против их участников свето - шумовые гранаты и выстрелы в воздух.
В то же время любые митинги в части Украины, подконтрольной киевской власти, запрещены в связи с военным положением. Никакие оппозиционные митинги здесь невозможны.
В Херсоне митинги, посвященные освобождению города от фашистских захватчиков, проходили до 2017, когда антифашистское собрание было разогнано ультраправыми формированиями при содействии полиции.
Антифашистский митинг 13 марта 2022 — первый в Херсоне, начиная с 2017 года.
После этого митинга его организаторы, например Кирилл Стремоусов, получили угрозы убийства со стороны сторонников нацизма и киевской власти.
Политическая партия «Блок Владимира Сальдо», представленная в местных органах власти Херсонского региона, была запрещена 20 марта 2022 указом президента Зеленского.
20 марта 2022 помощник и водитель экс-мэра Херсона Сальдо, Павел Слободчиков, вышел из дома Сальдо и был убит неизвестными. Связано ли это убийство с организацией антифашистского митинга 13 марта — также неизвестно.
Таким образом, киевская власть и нацистские формирования продолжают противодействовать антифашистским и левым митингам даже на территории, подконтрольной российским войскам, так же, как противодействовали последние 8 лет на территории всей Украины.

Сторонники киевской власти называют его "пророссийским".
Кулешов был близок к политикам и активистам, вошедшим в Комитет спасения Херсонщины, который сотрудничает с российскими войсками.
Последние недели Кулешов занимался волонтерской деятельностью.
Напомним, 20 марта в Херсоне был убит Павел Слободчиков, помощник бывшего мэра города, Владимира Сальдо, одного из лидеров Комитета спасения Херсонщины.

Journalist Gonzalo Lira, who lived in Kharkov, criticized the Kiev authorities and the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces.
He also warned that he could become a victim of the Nazis or the Security Service of Ukraine.
Gonzalo himself has not yet been discovered.

“I also hope that they will already capture us, I will pack up and go home, because I really want to go home,” she said.
On the afternoon of April 20, the girl was captured by people from the “Varta Dnepr”, a “territorial defense” formation, threatened her and forced her to apologize for her words.
According to Varta Dnipro, they handed Valery over to the police.
Her whereabouts are currently unknown. The last time she was online was on April 19.
Over the past 8 years, it has become a mass practice in Ukraine when far-right formations captured people who expressed views that were not liked by representatives of these formations.
After being subjected to moral and physical pressure, they forced people to publicly "apologize" for their views.
The police did not react to such facts in any way.

Днем 20 апреля девушку захватили люди из "Варты Днепра", формирования "территориальной обороны", угрожали ей и заставили извиняться за свои слова.
По словам "Варты Днепра", они передали Валерию полиции.
Сейчас её местонахождение неизвестно. В сети последний раз она была 19 апреля.
За прошлые 8 лет в Украине стала массовой практика, когда ультраправые формирования захватывали людей, которые высказывали взгляды, не понравившиеся представителям этих формирований.
После морального и физического воздействия, они заставляли людей публично приносить "извинения" за свои взгляды.
Полиция никак не реагировала на такие факты.

20 марта в Херсоне ( под контролем российских войск) убит помощник бывшего мэра Павел Слободчиков.
20 апреля в Херсоне убит блогер Валерий Кулешов.
Всех их сторонники киевской власти называли "пророссийскими".

On April 21, the prosecutor's office released new information.
The total number of criminal cases under articles on "war of aggression", "high treason", "infringement on territorial integrity", "sabotage" increased from 9,433 to 11,187 in the week from April 14 to April 21. That is, by 1,754. Or more than 250 criminal cases per day.
Over the past week, from April 7 to April 14, the number of criminal cases increased by an average of 300 per day.
A week ago, there were 570 defendants in the "main" case of aggression by the Russian Federation. Now - 591.
And in the week from April 7 to April 14, the number of such accused increased from 372 to 570. That is, almost 200 more accused.
Characteristically, the number of those accused of "waging an aggressive war" (Article 437 of the Criminal Code, under which the left-wing activist from Dnepropetrovsk Alexander Matyushenko is accused) increased slightly over the week - from 43 to 46.
At the same time, significantly, from 1938 to 2280, the number of those accused of "infringement on territorial integrity" increased significantly (Article 110, it mainly persecutes bloggers and those who expressed an opinion that differs from official propaganda).
Also during the week, the number of people accused of "treason" (Article 111 of the Criminal Code) increased significantly - from 435 to 609.
That is, an average of 25 citizens a day were accused of treason over the past week.

То есть, в измене за прошедшую неделю обвиняли в среднем по 25 граждан в день.

On April 21, 2022, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported that on that day in Odessa it detained leaders and members of the civic organization Worker's Movement of Ukraine.
The SBU also stated that members of the Worker's Movement of Ukraine wanted to distribute communist symbols and called for the restoration of the USSR.
Also, participants in the worker's movement were told that hatred of Russians was artificially incited in Ukraine.
And that this war is not in the interests of ordinary citizens of Ukraine.
The number of detainees, their names and which article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine they violated is not reported.

21 апреля 2022 Служба безопасности Украины (СБУ) сообщила, что в этот день в Одессе задержала лидеров и участников общественной организации Рабочее движение Украины.
СБУ также заявила, что участники Рабочего движения Украины хотели распрострвнять коммунистическую символику и призывали к восстановлению СССР.
Также участникам рабочего движения говорили, что в Украине искусственно разжигается ненависть к русским.
И что эта война не в интересах простых граждан Украины.
Число задержанных, их имена и какую именно статью Уголовного кодекса Украины они нарушили - не сообщается.
