On May 26, the prosecutor's office released new information.

The total number of criminal cases under politically motivated articles: "waging an aggressive war", "high treason", "encroachment on territorial integrity", "sabotage", "collaboration activities" for the week from May 19 to May 26 increased from 18,477 to 20 521, that is, by 2044 (increased by 2216 over the previous week). , prosecutors opened an average of 292 criminal cases per day.

Over the past week, from May 12 to May 19, the number of criminal cases increased by an average of 317 per day.

I remember another girl. She supported the Euromaidan, but on the same day, seeing photos of the wounded militiamen, she began to collect money for their treatment: “These are our brothers, fathers and husbands. They must not die."

On the day when the war came to my city, I did not yet know that everything would drag on for many years, that we would have sleepless nights due to shelling, the death of friends and relatives. I just had a shock: the Ukrainian army is bombing us. I still considered Ukraine my country then. Of course, the war was already on. But I had some kind of absurd and stupid hope that everything would not affect us.
