"Outsider."

Rhett is not from this world. Their consciousness was unwillingly transported into this universe, CWS-1230, through unknown means. Forced into their in-universe counterpart's body with no recollection of said counterpart's life, they are forced to attempt an endless masquerade--finding out as much as they can about their counterpart so they can fit in--while also trying to find a way back into their home universe, SPS-014.

A militia known as the Volkovists are looking for an "Outsider." The rumors talk of a person not from this world--not from this universe. Rhett knows its them. But afraid of what awaits them with this ruthless group, and aware that their masquerade is what has kept them safe this entire time, Rhett continues with this act for their safety. And with their newly acquired companions--Connor, Shrub and Syn--the pressure is on to keep themself and their friends safe.

I wanna be what you talk about,
Keep my name inside your mouth
I’ve gotta be rolling around by your side
And I don’t want you feeling pain
But I know that you feel it babe
It don’t gotta be a bittersweet goodbye
Goodbye, bye, bye, bye
Rhett and Adrian met for the first time at a Soviet outpost on the northern edge of the Himalayan DMZ, where preparations were quietly underway for a full-scale assault on India. Adrian, a seasoned sergeant with a specialty in snowy warfare, noticed something unusual about Rhett the moment he was brought in for medical treatment. Rhett didn’t move or speak like the trained soldier he was supposed to be—every man sent to this base had seen years of war. But Rhett looked lost.

That strangeness stirred something in Adrian. At first, it was only quiet curiosity. But over time, as he kept checking in during Rhett’s recovery, that curiosity began to deepen into something gentler—concern, maybe even care. They began to talk. Rhett, careful with his words, confided just enough: he wasn’t from here. He was scared. None of this was supposed to happen.

Adrian understood more than he let on. He had grown up in the United States, deep in the heart of the Global Defense Treaty Organization. Now he fought for the other side—he too was far from home. And though he rarely showed it, he too carried fear. He too sometimes questioned if he belonged here.

But now he had Rhett. And Rhett had him.
