i really truly cooked with Grim, my norwegian detective fursona's lore

Grim's early childhood was relatively normal. He and his parents lived a quiet life in Norska for many years up until Grim's father disappeared and was presumed dead. At this point, Grim was only 11 years old, and he told himself he would find what happened to his father no matter what.

From 11 until adulthood, Grim lived with his mother and she took care of him. After reaching adulthood, Grim went on to join a detective agency. In there, he met Henrik, his assigned partner. Initially, Grim's serious and closed off personality and Henrik's "can-do" bubbly personality seriously clashed, and Grim could barely stand Henrik. However, the two slowly but surely began to grow closer and trust each other...eventually, Grim just fell in love. At this point, the two were inseparable. Nothing could stand in their way.

Except death.

Once more, Grim is faced with the death of a loved one; this time, his partner. Stricken with immense grief, Grim was unable to perform his duties at the agency—for this, he was fired. Grim’s life fell apart, and had it not been for his mother, it probably would have ended at this point too.

Nonetheless, Grim managed to partially bounce back. Although some gossip about whether or not Grim ever truly got over the death of Henrik, the truth is Grim himself doesn’t even know if he did.

In reality, Grim only managed to suppress his feelings from that time. He was closed off before Henrik, but now it’s on a whole new level. Stoic and to-the-point, Grim now prioritizes his work over anything—especially now that he owns his own agency—though those that he does consider friends today still get to enjoy time with him from time to time.
