AT LEAST 24 people have been killed in a terror attack in Burkina Faso after gunmen burst into a village church and opened fire on worshippers.
A man from Rochdale has been sentenced for child sex offences.
In 2017, as part of an investigation into drug dealing, police stopped a vehicle being driven by Samirul Choudhury (07/06/89) of Entwistle Street, Rochdale. A kilo of class A drugs was seized and Choudhury was arrested. Keys in his possession at the time were used to open a locked metal cabinet in his bedroom.
Inside the locked metal cabinet, officers found 10 child-sized bras and a USB stick. On the USB stick and Choudhury’s mobile phone, officers found indecent images of girls thought to be as young as seven as well as videos of a voyeuristic nature filmed using a camera cable through a hole in a wall in a bathroom.
Specialist officers identified Choudhury’s fingerprint on a still of a hand taken from one of the high definition videos downloaded from his phone.

AN Oldham man has been jailed for nine years for raping a woman while she was sleeping after a New Year's Eve celebration in North London.
Emeka Ugoh, 33, had been staying at a friend's house in Edmonton when the incident occurred, Wood Green Crown Court was told.
Prosecutors say Ugoh had returned to his friend's house, after celebrating the New Year in 2017-18, and the victim was also stopping over.
The court heard that during the night, on two occasions, Ugoh had attempted to have sex with the victim.
On both occasions she clearly said no and sent him away, a jury was told.
But on the morning of New Year’s Day 2018, the victim awoke to find Ugoh raping her, the court was told.
She reported the incident to police but Ugoh was not charged with rape until June 2019 when he was served with a postal requisition by the police.
