A High Court judge has ruled on the meaning of comments made by Tommy Robinson about a Syrian refugee who was filmed being attacked in a school playground.
Mr Justice Nicklin ruled the political activist’s comments meant Mr Hijazil had “as part of a gang, participated in a violent assault on a young girl which had caused her significant injuries” and also “threatened to stab another child”.
The comments would be understood as a “specific allegation” of violence, he added, while noting that Mr Robinson had advanced a defence that the comments were truthful.

Following the alleged attack, Cleveland Police arrested and charged Qader Amhadi, 31, Darbaz Haje, 25, and Aram Hussain, 29, with false imprisonment and rape.

Gunman arrested after opening fire at random from balcony

A man in 30s has been arrested after he opened fire with multiple guns from a balcony in Chatham, Kent.

Further footage appears to show the gunman livestreaming himself as he wanders around the apartment before opening fire. In one, he zooms in on his vast supply of weapons and bullets before stepping out onto the balcony shouting ‘call the police’.

Michael Raheem, 22, was on remand for robbery at HMP Belmarsh when he sprayed the officer with a shower gel bottle containing a yellow liquid. He was quickly restrained by other jailers and the bottle kept as evidence following the incident on October 6, 2018.
