Officers execute daybreak raids as part of a firearms investigation in Cheetham Hill.

This morning officers from the North Manchester division carried out raids at two addresses in Cheetham Hill as part of an ongoing investigation into a firearms discharge, which took place last week on Monday 11 May 2020.

In the early hours of the morning at around 1.15am, police were called to reports of between two and four gunshot sounds on Galsworthy Avenue.

No injuries were reported but some damage was caused to a vehicle on the street.
Officers also seized a quantity of cash as part of the direct action.

An 18-year-old man was also arrested during the raids on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply. He remains in custody for questioning.
