🚗 CERR presents an overview of Uzbekistan’s automotive market

➡️ The Center for Economic Research and Reforms has published an updated analysis of the automotive market in Uzbekistan based on the results for November of this year.

1️⃣market. In the primary market, sales of passenger cars increased by 15%, which corresponds to an increase of about 4.4 thousand units compared to November last year.

🚙market. In the segment of domestically produced new passenger cars, sales reached about 30 thousand units, showing a 13.6% year-on-year increase.

2️⃣market. In the secondary automotive market, around 52 thousand passenger cars were sold in November, which is 8% lower than in the corresponding period last year.

Sales of electric vehicles in the secondary market increased 1.8 times year-on-year.

🏠CERR updated assessment of housing and rental market trends

🔍The Center for Economic Research and Reforms has released an updated analysis of Uzbekistan’s real estate market dynamics for November.

📊The total number of housing sales nationwide increased by 13.2% compared to the same period last year, reaching 25 thousand transactions.

📊The most significant year-on-year growth was recorded in Bukhara region (35.4%), Kashkadarya region (26.5%), and Samarkand region (21.7%).

📊On the secondary housing market across the country, a moderate price increase was observed, averaging around 7% year-on-year.

📉In November, the average rental rate in Tashkent amounted to $8.7 per square meter, which is 5% higher than the level of the same period last year.

📈 By the end of November 2025, the volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade with Central Asian countries reached $7.1 billion, which is 9.7% of the total volume of foreign trade.

➡️ Exports amounted to $2.6 billion (+7.3%)
⬅️ Imports amounted to $4 billion (+16.7%)

📊 The largest share in Uzbekistan's trade turnover with Central Asian countries was accounted for by Kazakhstan62%, the rest: Turkmenistan15%, Kyrgyzstan13% and Tajikistan10%.

📍In January-November 2025, the CIS countries accounted for 33.5% of the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

✔️The foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the CIS countries in November this year increased by 16.3% and amounted to $24.4 billion

◼️exports – $9.9 bn (+18.9%)
◼️imports – $14.5 bn (+14.7%)

✔️The largest shares of foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries were with Russia (48%), Kazakhstan (18%), Belarus (4%) and Turkmenistan (4%).

📍A comprehensive monitoring of key indicators of regional business activity in Uzbekistan demonstrates growth across all major metrics.

📝 The monitoring results for November 2025 showed that:

🔼 The volume of tax revenues increased by 16.7%
🔼 Revenues on customs payments increased by 20.3%
🔼 The volume of exports of goods increased by 12.4%
🔼 The volume of transactions on the UzEx increased by 21.2%

🇺🇿Linguistic Analysis of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s 2026 State of the Nation Address

📊The linguistic analysis showed that the most frequently used key words included “mahalla” – 49 times, “aholi” (population) – 35 times, “iqtisodiyot” (economy) – 28 times, “bozor” (market) – 26 times, “loyiha” (project) – 25 times, and “technology” – 22 times.

📉Among three-word combinations, the most frequent expressions included “the next five years” – nine times; “based on dual education” – four times; and “water-saving technologies” and “water, electricity”three times each.

📰The analysis shows that at the core of state policy are the mahalla, public welfare, and the transition to a new stage of development based on economic and technological transformation, with clearly defined strategic objectives for the next five years.

🇺🇿Analysis of Poverty Levels and Household Incomes in Uzbekistan in 2025 (+inforgraphics)

According to a survey conducted by the National Statistics Committee in cooperation with the World Bank, the poverty rate in Uzbekistan in 2025 amounted to 5.8%, which is 3.1 percentage points lower compared to the previous year.

📊In 2023, the poverty rate in the country decreased from 14% to 11%, in 2024 to 8.9%, and in 2025 to 5.8%. As a result, 302 thousand families were lifted out of poverty this year.

📉The decline was particularly pronounced in urban areas, where poverty fell to 5.2% (from 8.6% in 2024). In rural areas, the indicator fell to 6.4% (from 9.2%).

🇺🇿A decline in poverty has been recorded across all regions of the country.

📝The income structure demonstrates that labor income remains the key source, accounting for 72.6%, notably higher than in the previous year (67.7%).

👁This year 484 cooperatives were established with the participation of export-oriented enterprises under the “CompanyCooperativeFarmer household” model, engaging 15.7 thousand members of low-income families.

📈Overall, there is a decline in household dependence on transfers and an increasing role of employment income.
