ابرا به oh, I know those soft hands فکر میکنه.
EXACTLY!! HE MIGHT EVEN DESERVE TO BE THE SUPPORTIVE BF YK???
باک و ادی رو توی زندگی هیچکس دیگهای نباید بندازن چون ملت رو دیوونه میکنن.
imagine you're just a girl and you're dating this hot guy and he seems pretty normal then one day you come home to him kissing his dead wife's doppelganger.
imagine you're just a girl and you're dating this cute guy and he seems pretty normal and he asks you to move in with him cause everything is going so well then you find out the reason he asked was actually because he cheated on you so now you're basically trapped with him.
they are menaces to the people of LA and we need to protect the masses from them.
maybe i'm reaching and maybe it really is just bad writing and maybe there were other, better ways of doing this but abuela's death is what lead to eddie figuring some things out regarding his religion and his culture and his grief.
religious trauma isn't something that can be resolved just like that but i think this episode did achieve some of that.
eddie offering to pray with pepa, eddie setting up an ofrenda for all the people he's lost, abuela telling him he's been looking for love in the wrong place, that's him making some kind of peace with his religion and his culture.
and abuela dying may not have been necessary but it could also be exactly what he needed.
things weren't great between them when shannon died, and he wasn't even there when bobby died. but with abuela, he got to spend some pleasant time with her, open up to her, tell her how much he means to her, and have an actual meaningful final interaction with her.
so unlike shannon and bobby, there are no added regrets. grief, yes. but no regrets.
and another thing i noticed (that might also be reaching cause my comprehensive skills usually suck)
abuela's death kind of concludes eddie's journey with loss. from denial to anger and depression to acceptance.
denial for shannon's death and how he tried to replace her, anger and depression for bobby's death and how he blamed himself for not being there and lashing out at buck because of it, and acceptance for abuela's death but also for the previous two, putting shannon and bobby on that altar next to abuela and truly saying goodbye to all of them once and for all.
i'm just gonna hold out until the end of the season because maybe the reason the writing choices seem so horribly thought through rn is because we don't have the full story yet.
