Fighting is already reported in the two towns south of Hama, al-Khalidiyah and Raabon. HTS have also advanced to the outskirts of Salamiyah, capturing the towns of Hamra, Ali Kusun and Kherson.

A Syrian Arab Army garrison is still positioned in Qomhane and Mt. Jabal Zain al-Abidin, to the east. The garrison has promised to fight till death, despite being surrounded.
