Al-Mada calls on the government to "control pro-Iranian groups" and to stay away from the "Iranian circle". The paper says if Iraq "continues to be controlled by pro-Iranian groups" it will become a "target for Israel".

Prorogation means that Parliament would be put on pause for a time but not dissolved which would trigger a general election.

Ukraine possesses a laser weapon capable of shooting down airborne targets at an altitude of more than 2 kilometres (1.2 miles), the country's drone forces commander Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi said on Monday.
