Ukrainian forces are attempting to enter Kruglik and Berdin in the north. Ukrainian troops captured a forest belt east of Mikhailovka, and are now dropping small Ukrainian offensive groups east of it, towards Pushkarnoe and Russkaya Konopelka.

Across the front over the past two years, Ukrainians have proven to be able to fortify similar settlements with large green and open spaces in the Donbass region, slowing Russian advances. Bolshoe Soldatskoe is similar, and in this case, the goal is likely to buy Kiev time.
